Enrollment Sales Conversations with JOHN CHAMPOLI
- Enrollment Marketing Stories Podcast Episode 11 00:00
04:35 “We’ve been actually converting pretty quickly our open houses, what we call our accepted student days, into a virtual format. And a lot of institutions that struggle with this way more in the beginning when we’re thinking about it, let’s just make it a big event. Let’s just do what we normally do except virtually.”
12:47 “The room and board revenues, that’s been probably a large, very large topic for a lot of institutions of how do they handle that. Do they prorate that? Of course, many have prorated it and given basically half of the spring semester room and board revenues back.”
15:43 “We’ve really had a lot of calling campaigns, believe it or not, just connecting with students, telling them how excited we were for them and connecting with their parents as well.”
19:13 “They ask them 3 questions. And these 3 questions are something to the effect of, what are you interested in studying? Just to confirm that interest. Maybe a change in the SAT test. The other could be, what are you excited about? Is it study abroad or internship opportunities? And the third question, which is terrific is something to the effect of, what freaks you out about college?”
28:51 “If you can help them, one, clear through their questions and then help them, whatever that issue is, whether it’s a financial aid issue or something they just don’t understand, getting them through that is the most rewarding thing for me.”
